The purpose of this blog is to help people learn how to program not just games but any kind of program as well.
My blog starts of small and shows you how to make a basic program that says "Hello, world". It slowly explains to you the different parts of code and as you go along. The more you get into the code, the code gets longer and more complex.
As you learn more it shows you different ways to use the code to make almost a limitless world of possibilities. This page shows you how to make simple programs such as calculators and clocks. After you learn little programs like that, you learn how to put them into a program that keeps track or score or number of items.
The more you go along the more little details you can add. and the easier you can make the code. it sounds weird but there are more complex parts of code that actual make the code shorter and faster to write. like if statements, you can make hundreds of if statements or you can make a few statements that call to previous statements so you don't have to copy full parts of code.
while learning how to code from my teacher Jonathan Gregg, from DIISD, i was also uploading the projects and information from the book to help people learn as well, with these blogs anyone could have asked for assistance and i would have helped them, but so far no one has asked anything.
I am willing to help anyone with any questions the need answers to. I find that the best way to learn almost anything is to explain or teach it to someone else. You can do that by gathering information and by showing and talking to the person about said information, you are able to absorb more of the information yourself.
I was able to get a lot of the starter information onto the blog. For the longest time I made sure that I put down everything I learned from Mr. Gregg. I looked as often as I could for any comments on my blog to see if anyone needed help.
I am not sure how well I can show how effective my blog is for I had to feedback from anyone that looked at my website. I do know however that there are so many easier sources out there to find help. most people look for classes or videos. so when I guess you can say with how many visitors i have had i had some improvement
